Kate is the cornerstone of our team, as the Youth and Community Work Manager. Being designated safeguarding lead, Kate ensures the safety and well-being of all our young people. Her expertise extends to overseeing and developing youth work projects, where she seamlessly blends practicality with compassion to craft impactful programmes, while also securing crucial investments through successful bids. Kate's unwavering dedication ensures that our initiatives not only flourish but also make a tangible difference in the lives of young people.
As our Participation & You Decide Manager, Jemma leads community-based youth work projects like Newquay and Liskeard. Championing youth voices across services for young people, Jemma ensures their perspectives are heard and valued in decision-making processes, creating inclusive and supportive environments.
As our Hear Our Voice Manager, Charmain oversees the team in providing a safe space for 8-25-year-olds to share and receive tailored support with their mental health and wellbeing. Through one-to-one sessions and group work, Charmain and her team empower young people, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and equipped to overcome challenges. With active partnerships across the South West, Hear Our Voice delivers personalised care and guidance, fostering resilience and confidence in every young person.
As the Mid Region Manager for Truro and St. Austell, Cath coordinates and supports our youth work programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of local young people. She manages dedicated teams and collaborates with stakeholders, community members, and young people themselves to ensure our projects remain relevant and effective. Cath's leadership ensures our initiatives thrive as dynamic, community-driven programmes, enriching the lives of youth in the region.
As our Clinical Lead, Laura oversees our Wellbeing Practitioners, ensuring the highest quality of care tailored to our young people's needs. With her wealth of experience, she guarantees excellence in all our clinical services, streamlining procedures to keep them up-to-date and reducing waiting times for our young people.
As our Youth Cafés & VC Manager. Cat leads our Youth Café project in Redruth & Helston, and oversees our Victims of Crime (VC) initiative. For young people aged 8 to 25 who have been victims of crime, Cat's team provides goal-based support, addressing emotional impacts, offering practical assistance, and ensuring access to relevant services. With partnerships across the South West and innovative approaches, Cat fosters resilience and empowers young people to overcome challenges, promoting recovery and preventing future victimisation.
Overseeing our drop in support hubs, Terrie ensures a safe space for young people to talk to someone in a supportive and confidential environment. She also manages our College Support Hubs, providing youth work based mental health support to young people who wouldn't otherwise reach out to student services. Her musical background also inspired her to set up Soundwaves, providing fun, accessible musical opportunities to young people in Truro and St Austell.
Dan leads our Parish Youth Project (PYP), providing essential support and services for young people in the parishes. With his down-to-earth approach, Dan fosters a welcoming environment where youth feel understood, valued, and encouraged to grow. Under Dan's guidance, the Parish Youth Project flourishes as a hub of support and opportunity for the youth in our communities. His genuine dedication and passion for empowering young minds make him a trusted ally and mentor for the next generation.
As Young People Cornwall's Head of Marketing, Ben drives impactful campaigns to support Cornwall's youth. Through strategic branding and engaging communication, he amplifies the charity's mission, driving community involvement and vital support.
As Finance Manager of Young People Cornwall, Helen plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. With a keen eye for detail, Helen oversees budgets and tracks expenditures. Her dedication ensures that YPC operates within its means while maximising its impact on the community.
As our Referral and Database Coordinator, Abi fulfils a crucial role in optimising our operational efficiency. With keen attention to detail and strategic coordination, she ensures that the referral process runs smoothly, guaranteeing prompt access to support for young individuals. Abi adeptly manages our database, maintaining precise records and insights that inform our initiatives and enhance our services. Her dedication and expertise are instrumental in advancing our mission to empower and uplift Cornwall's youth.
